Much to Think Of

Meet my son, Caleb River. At almost six months old, this amazing little person inspires many thoughts. It astounds me what he makes me think of! Am I fit to be a dad? Did we all really start so small and helpless? For him, the world is full of interesting things - and let me assure you, Caleb is a curious man. So much wonder, so much mystery, just waiting to be discovered. And for me, how great is the sheer delight of spending time with him, making this person smile and laugh, talking to him in noises that I don't even understand. Being honest, it's often for myself that I try to make him light up with joy. It boosts my own ego to see that I can pull a good feeling from somebody else. Do I do this with other people as well? Can you imagine the thinking that is ignited by this little life? Why does a child prompt so many thoughts, and not an adult life? I don't know, but I give thanks to God that I have the privilege of meeting this person, and that he does inspire these thoughts!
